On Thursday 2nd May we have our first Seasonal Circle for The Circle Project. Join me on-line for a gentle time-out from our to-do lists as we cross the threshold into the circle dimension of time and space. We will ground into our landscapes and open our hearts. We will listen for what is most present for us at this time. We will tend to our inner- and outer- seasons, welcome what is arriving and bid farewell to what is leaving. We will envision our next cycle and call on our intuitive wisdom for guidance.

When it comes to fighting for what’s right we all have to work within our capabilities. Whether you are a cook, an artist or a poet your actions are absolutely essential. But these expressions have to be paired with political action, whether that is protest, writing to your elected officials or campaigning in other ways. There is something each and every one of us is able to do for every oppressed person and community everywhere. We just have to make a choice to actually keep doing it, not get jaded and not succumb to not being heard. We have to keep going.

Bealtaine (Beltane) Blessings
I hadn’t intended to be sending this today (it was planned for Monday) but as is the way of things, this peek behind the scenes of where I’m currently at will be winging its’ way to you as we celebrate May Day here in the British Isles.
I assume most of you are far more expert than me on the meanings and rituals and traditions of Beltane, and perhaps like me, your social media feed and inbox is overflowing with information and interpretations. In addition, many of you are in the Southern Hemisphere and celebrating on the opposite side of the wheel and it seems a lot to talk about both, so I’m not going to share about either! But of course we do have our seasonal sharing Circle tomorrow where we will indeed honour the energies of both.
If you are keen to learn more about these pivotal points of the seasonal year, I would recommend
“A Moment with the Seasons” right here on Substack, and also year long “Sisters of Rock and Root” which focuses on deepening our relationship with place in all its’ seasons. From My Journal
The rain has been relentless. I keep waking at 4.15am and sense that it’s important that I get up to greet the day, but I’m so tired at the moment! I want to be able to sit outside and feel part of the landscape without having to be permanently drenched! It is so hard to dry coats and boots in a small terraced house without a boot room! Despite the rain, we have already been warned of the hosepipe bans to come. In the meantime the fields are drowning and some harvests will fail. I’m struggling with these seasons. The Wheel of the Year seeming both less relevant as a cyclical transition and yet more vital for connection and community.
